Holistic approach for nursing home

As I lie down in my bed for few days now, I spent my time reflecting and writing. Relaxing my body made me stop working and was forced to stay put. I realized this was meant to happen. As this body was over run down with my nursing work. Seeing so many residents passed away and facing grieving family members. I did not have enough time to heal myself. Being surrounded by this stress will bring you into this state of burn out.

For the last few days, I thought of a solution as I am a solution oriented person. I knew the downfalls in the nursing home and how can I shift and help people surrounding this to awaken? Let us see the deeper grounds. All stem from stress..workers are overworked and overwhelmed. Family is grieving. Residents are scared to die and most feel abandoned.

Holistic Approach:

  1. Meditation is one way I can introduce to co-workers. I can share this after work even for few minutes to get them aware of this tool to help them let go of stress. Speaking more about energy healing. I started giving Reiki energy healing to the staff and it truly helped them become more relax.
  2. Speak to CEO, we have a great management and this will help our CEO knows what is going on with our stressful working condition.
  3. Make a list of those co-workers who are interested to be in our meditation after work.
  4. Create an outdoor meditation for co-workers.
  5. Bless the building with Reiki energy symbols.
  6. Teach others about healing. Create a special workshop for co-workers facing stress and how to manage stressful situations.
  7. Retiring in Feb 2019, take every day as a blessing for being there for 26 yrs.
